FIFA has brought together a high profile lineup featuring Megan Thee Stallion, David Guetta, Andrea Bocelli and Huntr/X’s Ejae for a global dance track titled DNA.

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 set to begin on Thursday 11 June, the song DNA was released on streaming platforms a day ahead of the tournament’s opening.

"The title of the song, DNA, says everything," Bocelli enthused in a statement.

"Football has been in my life for as long as I can remember and will always hold a very special place in my heart. To be invited to sing the anthem of the FIFA World Cup and to participate in the opening ceremony is an honour that moves me deeply."

Guetta is the producer behind the upbeat dance driven track, while Ejae contributed Korean language lyrics to the project.

"It's especially meaningful because I was able to write Korean lyrics in the song. Representing South Korea on this stage is such an honour," Ejae added to the statement.

The Golden vocalist also reflected on attending the 2002 World Cup in Seoul, describing it as a formative experience.

"One of my favourite childhood memories is being in Seoul and seeing the city unite. I'll never forget the feeling of seeing strangers on the street hug each other and celebrate."

FIFA has also unveiled its Official World Cup 2026 Album earlier this month, which includes contributions from artists such as Anitta, Future, Tyla, 21 Savage, Shakira, Burna Boy, Daddy Yankee, Latto and others.
