TakeOff is reportedly confirmed to appear on Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign‘s forthcoming Vultures 2 album.
During his interview on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast earlier this week, Ye revealed that the project will final drop on May 3 after numerous delays over the past two months. Additionally, Rolling Stone confirmed on Wednesday (April 24) that the record will feature a verse from the late Migos rapper on a song tentatively titled “Let Me Chill Out.”
According to the publication, Rich The Kid and NBA YoungBoy have also contributed to the song, which their source has described as one of the “highlight tracks” on the album.
TakeOff, along with the rest of Migos, collaborated with the Chicago native on “We Did It Kid” from Donda 2 back in 2022. However, the album was distributed solely via stem players and has yet to be released on streaming platforms.
Following the Southern rapper’s passing later that year, the Yeezy boss offered his condolences by posting a social-media photo with the Migos from the album’s listening party, writing “LOVE FOREVER” and then adding in a separate tweet: “FAMILY.”
Further details about Vultures 2 remain slim, but the album could be another star-studded affair as Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign played a slew of songs featuring big-name artists at listening events in Miami and Las Vegas last year.
In March, Ye and Ty released several songs from the project, but through unconventional means. Those expecting to find the songs on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music were disappointed as multiple cuts from the record were shared on TikTok and Instagram instead.
As pointed out by several fan accounts, “River” featuring Young Thug and Leon Bridges as well as the Backstreet Boys-sampling “Everybody” were available to stream on the social media platforms, and could even be added as tracks to posts.
Other songs from Vultures 2 were also available, including “Worship,” “Promotion” featuring Future, “Slide” featuring James Blake and “Field Trip,” which is said to feature Playboi Carti, Kodak Black, Lil Durk and Don Toliver.
Vultures 1was released in early February after several delays and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with almost 150,000 album-equivalent units to its name in the first week.
The project boasts cameos from Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Lil Durk, Chris Brown, Freddie Gibbs, YG, Quavo, Rich The Kid and others.
